Paula Scher

Paula Scher

Scher has developed identities, packaging for a broad range of clients from The New York Times Magazine to Target, from the New Jersey Performing Arts Center to The Daily Show With Jon Stewart.

"Paula Scher has designed a new identity for the Philadelphia Orchestra...Scher's redesign coincides with the arrival of Charles Dutoit as the orchestraís new chief conductor and artistic adviser, and the new identity establishes a classical and modern brand for this important institution...There is a playful balance of scale between the mark and the logotype, and the P may also be used by itself in applications where a small scale would render the logotype illegible, or where the mark and logotype may appear as separate elements.

"With a career spanning 35 years so far, Paula Scher continues to set standards in graphic design with bold imagery and a highly illustrative approach to typography."
